Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, objectives, and challenges. Conduct thorough analysis to translate business needs into clear and actionable project requirements.
- Process Optimization: Evaluate existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose innovative solutions to streamline workflows. Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to extract valuable insights. Use data-driven approaches to inform business decisions and drive strategic initiatives.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories. Ensure all stakeholders have a clear understanding of project specifications.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels. Act as a liaison between business teams, IT professionals, and other relevant departments.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to design feasible and effective solutions. Provide input during the development phase to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test plans, conduct system testing, and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT). Ensure that delivered solutions meet the defined requirements and quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to ongoing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
- Experience with project management tools is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Analytical Skills: Business Analysts need strong analytical skills to understand complex business processes, identify issues, and propose data-driven solutions.
- Financial Acumen: A deep understanding of financial concepts, markets, and banking products is essential for analyzing financial data and making strategic recommendations.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to process and interpret large datasets. Experience with tools like Excel, SQL, or statistical software is valuable.
- Business Process Modeling: Ability to create detailed process maps and diagrams to illustrate current and future state processes. Knowledge of BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) is a plus.
- Requirement Gathering: Skill in eliciting and documenting clear, concise, and comprehensive business requirements from stakeholders. This includes understanding both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ability to manage and negotiate conflicting requirements is crucial.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with IT systems and technologies used in the banking industry. Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies is beneficial.
- Problem-Solving: Business Analysts should be adept at identifying problems and proposing practical solutions. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Documentation: Excellent documentation skills, including creating detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), use cases, process flow diagrams, and other project-related documentation.
- Project Management: Basic understanding of project management principles and tools. Business Analysts often work within project teams, so familiarity with project management software and methodologies is valuable.
